Cool Art

Art is Important.
Most Americans don't fully appreciate art's value, so this is my attempt to contribute to the greater good.

The only criteria for getting art on this list is if I personally like it. I am definitely no authority on the subject, but I wanted to share the art and artists that move me. As with any art, all this stuff is WAY better when viewed in person. If you don't do it already, you should try to go to every art museum you can.

Alberto Giacometti- One of my favorites of all time. This site is a slow load, but worth it. I prefer the post-war work.
Mark Hayward- It's only natural that I'd think my own art was cool.
Geoff Lee- Glass artist from Honolulu, HI. This work influenced by comic books, tattoos, and popular culture.
Red Rocket Gallery- Fun and exciting online gallery.
Robert Stackhouse- Another one of my favorites of all time.
Justin Strom- Dealing with technology and its effect on the human condition.
Scott Teplin- Over-educated New York artist.
Lenore Thomas- Art that's good enough to eat.
Andy Goldsworthy- Sculpture done primarily outdoors with available materials. Simply amazing. The best source of images are Andy's books. Check out your local library or Amazon.com for them.
